New York City’s 12 Oldest Cocktail Bars
Like history, and like booze? Luckily New York has some incredibly old bars serving up spirits and cocktails, many for well over a hundred years. This map does not include bars that offer exclusively beer, like Chumley’s, established in 1830 and McSorley’s, established in 1854, and it doesn’t pretend to be a map of the city’s best cocktail bars. But for cocktails with a side of history, here are New York City’s oldest cocktail bars.

Great list of bars here - personal favorites being Ear Inn, PJ Clarkes, Bridge and Pete’s Tavern.  Unfortunately Eater isn’t too accurate with the Chumley’s mention, still not open since the fire and I don’t think it ever will…

You know those epic Sunday brunches when you get so drunk you can barely tell which is your food and which is your cocktail? Well now you don’t have to worry anymore!

Feeling our standard holiday Bloody Marys were becoming too run-of-the-mill, we decided to spice things up yesterday for the Fourth… with fresh horseradish and aji amarillo mixed in, and herb bacon and pickled shrimp added as garnishes. Those right there were some fireworks!

Let’s give this guy a round of applause. That sounds excellent.

Excellent work my friend.  Sold
