The SOPA blackout is an irritating reminder that D.C. residents do not have voting representatives in Congress.

I’m not 15 yrs old so I guess I don’t get the rise in Skrillex’s popularity - it’s right time, right place, right look I guess because it certainly isn’t DJ skills.
I’ve got my share of dubstep (more like the original form of dubstep, from the late 90’s which were darker versions of experimental 2-step & UK garage tracks) including a few Skrillex tracks but I’ve never heard him live so I had to listen to a few live mixes and live shot videos of Skrillex before I commented on this … anyone can spend 30 days on midi touch pad controller and tweak some samples cut over some pre produced remixes and show up with the same performance.
I’ll give him the nods on having some production cred, he’s getting better with each release but I don’t hear anything nearly as mind blowing from his live performances to warrant any of the jizz these kids are sputtering about this guy.
