If Larry David indeed coined this phrase (as seen in this promo for the upcoming season premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm), then it’s just the latest example of his brilliance. I’ve used this phrase now 5 times in the last week since reading this… I’ve been both a victim and conscious culprit of upstreaming in NYC.
